Developer API: a private AI API for your own software

The Developer API lets your software use the same AI that powers Chat and the agents: chat, reading text from images and live voice. It uses the same format as other leading AI services, so developers can switch to it easily.

Quickstart

Point your client at Xevyo.

Use your existing client library. Change the base URL, use a key that starts “xk-”, and you're connected.

# same format as other leading AI services
base_url = "https://chat.xevyo.com/xevyo/v1"
api_key  = "xk-••••"

What you can build

EndpointWhat it does
List modelsSee which Xevyo AI models your key can use

Read text from imagesSend one image or many and get the text back
Live voiceSpeak to Xevyo and hear it answer in real time, charged by seconds of voice

Keys

Keys with limits you set

Create keys in the Platform. Each key has a name, a monthly usage limit and a usage counter, including minutes of voice used. All use is measured per key, and Usage & Billing shows what each key has used and been charged.

Tools

Projects, Playground and Models

Projects hold background information that can guide answers given through a key. The Playground lets you try chat and voice with your key before you write a line of code, and the Models page shows which AI models are available to your keys.

The same safeguards as everything else

API answers pass through the same immune system as Chat: links the AI didn't find are removed, instructions hidden in documents or web pages are ignored, and content screening and medical safety rules apply. See how Xevyo protects every answer.
